SALT LAKE CITY — United Way of Salt Lake is seeking 200 volunteers for its annual Day of Action June 24.

Companies, community groups, families and individuals are encouraged to help with projects in Midvale, including cleaning the inside and outside of Hillcrest High School, 7350 S. 900 East, and distributing community resource information to area neighborhoods. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch is included.

“United Way has always supported the efforts of the dedicated volunteers who selflessly serve in our communities,” Bill Crim, CEO of United Way of Salt Lake, said in a statement. “Day of Action is unique because it allows members of our local community here in Utah to have a hands-on experience helping those that need it most.”

Every June, more than 150,000 volunteers in hundreds of cities nationwide participate in the Day of Action.
