On behalf of United Way of Salt lake we want to thank all the companies, organizations, and volunteers that came out to make Day of Caring 2016 another great success. Over 4,000 volunteers representing 120 local companies completed over 130 one-day service projects. Together, they provided over 16,000 hours of volunteer service saving our community more than $440,000.

In addition to our amazing volunteers we’d like to recognize our generous sponsors. Without their support, Day of Caring would not be possible.

  • American Express
  • Chase
  • CHG Healthcare Services
  • KSL/LDS Church Foundation
  • Hexcel
  • Management & Training Corporation
  • Questar
  • Regence BlueCross Blue Shield
  • Wells Fargo

Volunteers provided college and career presentations, read in classrooms with elementary students, provided landscaping and beautification services, painted a mural, and completed annual maintenance tasks that ensure organizations can focus their time on the services they provide to our community.

Day of Caring is more than just one amazing day of service, it’s an opportunity to learn more about our community and commit to help create lasting change. You can be a changemaker by continuing to learn more about our communities greatest needs and then taking action as a volunteer, advocate, or donor. Visit uw.org/BecauseICare and choose how you will turn your Day of Caring into a Year of Action.

Together, volunteers can support the short term and long term needs of our community. Together, advocates can ensure kids and families get the health and educational services they need and deserve and every dollar can go further to create lasting social change.

Join us and commit to taking action today.
