Members of the United Way of Salt Lake Tocqueville Society and Board of Directors recently took a tour of Mountain View Elementary.  Mountain View is one of six Community Learning Center sites United Way supports with full-time staff and resources.  Tour participants were able to see the variety of programs and services offered at Mountain View during the afternoon visit.  The tour made stops at the tutoring program, a Latina life-skills program for mothers and daughters, an after school snack, and a parent sewing class.  These were just a few of the offerings at Mountain View Elementary, which offers programs and services from 7:30 in the morning to 8:30 in the evening.  Tour participants all came away from the event with a great appreciation for the wide range of support and opportunities available to the students, families, and community.  If you are interested in touring a Community Learning Center please contact Brian Guyer at brian@uw.org

The Salt Lake Tribune did a close-up on Mountain View. Read that article here.
