I want to spotlight Deseret Management Corporation and their affiliated companies for “Living United” in an extraordinary manner with an exceptional Employee Giving Campaign that is based on United Way’s best practices.

Mark Willes, the president and CEO of Deseret Management Corporation,  and Roland Radack, the VP of Community Relations, are among those who LIVE UNITED by leading the cause.  About four months out, the company organizes an incredible Planning Committee.  This Committee has willing and interested members from every affiliate company: KSL, Deseret Book, Deseret News, Deseret Digital Media, Temple Square Hospitality, Beneficial life, etc.  The Committee sets goals, plans activities and special events, discusses incentives, and assignments are made and reported.   The Committee also has group meetings throughout their companies and offer imaginative incentives for participation and they encourage employees to participate in volunteer opportunities with pay.  DMS also hosts a phenomenal leadership breakfast and sponsor other spectacular events such as a benefit golf tournament at Thanksgiving Point.

Remarkably, in this fragile economy, DMC matches every individual donation $ for $.  Most importantly, they enjoy lots of food, fun, and friendships in the process.  Furthermore, they involve me as a full team player.

DMC embraces community involvement as a business practice and always does so seriously, but joyfully.  If God loves a cheerful giver, then His cup must runneth over with love for DMC employees.

I am so proud to be associated with this world class consortium of companies.
