This year, United Way of Salt Lake’s Donor Networks spent time with kids at our Neighborhood Centers and Community Schools, making their holidays a little brighter! We want to thank all of these amazing leaders and donors for the time and effort they have spent this season in supporting kids and families in our community!

Tocqueville Society

Tocqueville Society members spent an afternoon at Kearns Elementary, UWSL’s newest Neighborhood Center. Members took a tour of the schools and then stayed to give a winter coat celebration for the kids. Tocqueville members played games, participated in holiday crafts, decorated cookies, and handed out gifts! The event was a lot of fun and was as meaningful to the Tocqueville Society members as it was to the kids at Kearns Elementary. One Tocqueville Society member who participated in the event said, “I really enjoy it when we do this kind of event that gives us a look into the kind of work Untied Way of Salt Lake is doing. I think it is really important for us to be here; seeing the kids is what reminds us all what is important!”

This holiday season, Leadership Circle and Young Leaders members organized a Holiday Celebrations for kids at Guadalupe School and Central Park, both United Way of Salt Lake Neighborhood Centers. These generous Donor Network members decorated cookies with the kids, played fun relay and minute-to-win-it games, made crafts, and even helped them with their homework. The best moment was when members handed out the warm winter clothing items for the kids! It brightened everyone’s holiday to see the kid’s faces light up when they saw their presents.
