Although school isn’t quite out yet, it’s time to start planning for next year! In August, many children will lack the supplies they need to enter the classroom ready to learn. Without backpacks, paper, pencils, and other essential supplies, these students will start the school year already behind.

That’s why, every year, we enlist the help of people like you to STUFF THE BUS!

Stuff the Bus SortingHelp United Way of Salt Lake Stuff the Bus with school supplies for low-income children at Neighborhood Centers and Community Schools. These Centers and schools work daily with the families and youth of Davis, Salt Lake, and Summit counties to improve academic achievement, reading, and development. Supplies collected will be stuffed into backpacks and delivered to 23 locations on United Way of Salt Lake’s annual Day of Caring on September 10, 2015. We’ll be collecting supplies for more than 8,000 students!

Stuff the Bus SortingYou can help by holding a school supply drive and donating those supplies to Stuff the Bus. Students need all kinds of items like pencils, pens, and notebooks.

Stuff the BusHost a school supply drive between June 1 and August 30. Learn more about what to collect, download a flyer, and sign-up at www.uw.org/stb.
