January 16, 2012 will mark the 26th anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday. This is an opportunity for Americans to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service. The MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community.

In the Salt Lake area there are a number of ways you can get involved on or around January 16th to celebrate the day of service.
