Recently, members of United Way of Salt Lake’s Leadership Circle, worked with at-risk kids at Central Park Neighborhood Center to help students get back on track and finish the school year strong! The group helped students with their homework, completing make-up packets, and studying for end-of-year standardized testing.

ImageMichael Anglin, Strategic Accounts Area Sales Manager at UPS, has been a member of our Leadership Circle Donor Network since July of 2013. He also serves on our Leadership Circle Steering Council, as well as our Community Involvement Committee. I asked Michael to share with me what drives him to be so engaged with our work,  and this is what he had to say:

“United Way of Salt Lake continues to impress me because they look beyond the surface needs of our community and identify and address the root causes.  They build comprehensive plans to address the root causes engaging private, public, and nonprofit resources.  I believe this type of holistic approach is the key to impacting, and eventually solving, the needs within our community.”

“My interactions with UWSL as committee member, volunteer, and donor gives me several opportunities to view and evaluate this organization.  These perspectives provide multiple vantage points to observe their commitment to making a difference within our community.  As a result, I continue to support the United Way of Salt Lake.”

Thank you Michael, for your shining example, and for showing us what it means to LIVE UNITED!
