We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for its tremendous support of United Way of Salt Lake in our community. Not only does the LDS Church run a great workplace campaign, it supports United Way of Salt Lake’s efforts to change the odds in many other ways, including carrying out ten Day of Caring projects, in-kind printing, providing a Board member to our Board of Directors, and more.

This year’s campaign was a great success. We were able to reach more employees than we ever have, with the help of 38 Department Representatives who helped spread the UWSL message of Collective Impact to the entire workforce! A marketing team from the LDS Church worked tirelessly, in conjunction with UWSL’s marketing team, to create beautiful videos, posters, and other materials to encourage participation.

A dedicated committee, led by Committee Chair, Rick Velasquez, put in countless hours organizing the campaign and ensuring that every employee had the chance to participate. We would like to thank these individuals for their great work on the campaign committee:

Rick Velasquez
Jim Young
Niall White
Michelle Velasquez
Susan Sterzer
David Stokes
Eunie Piper

We would also like to thank the many others who helped out where it was needed. Special thanks to Ben Porter, Executive Sponsor of the campaign, and to Jamie Glenn who serves on UWSL’s Board of Directors.

Thank you, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for showing the community what it means to LIVE UNITED!
