Oquirrh Hills Elementary Community School Director

United Way of Salt Lake was proud to be recognized by the Boys & Girls Club at Oquirrh Hills Elementary last month for our service to the community, students, and families of Oquirrh Hills Elementary, as part of its annual Boys & Girls Club Week.

Brittnee Llewellyn, a Youth Development Professional at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake writes, “United Way does a lot with our program. They help organize the Mobile Food Pantry, provided by the Utah Food Bank and other community members, which gives families in need food. They help organize volunteers to throw parties for our kids around Christmas time. This year, we had InContact employees even give each student an individual gift, and, as part of Day of Caring, they have volunteered their time, and organized others to come and help clean up the outside of our school, making it look great. We have Stephanie Linton from United Way at our school with us. She is the one who puts everything together and acts as the glue between our Boys and Girls Club and United Way. We are lucky to have United Way of Salt Lake as community service partner.”
