A few weeks ago, the Salt Lake City UPS GBS United Way Committee put together a barbeque luncheon for everyone in the site. “This is just one of the activities planned to bring awareness about United Way of Salt Lake and the impact they have on the community,” said the site’s United Way Coordinator, John Callahan. “The committee decided a BBQ would be a fun way to provide information and generate more awareness about UPS support of United Way as we gear up for the annual campaign this fall.”
He continued, “While we did raise a small amount of money for United Way with this event, this was intended as more of a ‘fun raiser,’ Along with the food and fellowship, Cristi Wetterberg from United Way of Salt Lake, was on hand to answer questions and talk about volunteer opportunities and the many local organizations which United Way partners with and supports.”
