Allen Alexander is an extraordinary volunteer who exemplifies outstanding dedication to improving our community through his involvement with United Way of Salt Lake. Chairman, President and CEO of Savage Services Corporation, Allen invests his passion and expertise to advance the mission of United Way of Salt Lake and inspires others, not only in his professional life, but also in his personal life, to increase their involvement in the community.
Allen fulfills his volunteer commitments with enthusiasm. He is a committed member of United Way of Salt Lake’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He also chairs the Corporate Governance and Ethics Committee. Beyond his work with specific board and committee roles, Allen played an important role during a very critical period for United Way of Salt Lake. He spent countless hours personally leading the organization through a critical thinking and strategic planning process. His efforts have helped refine United Way of Salt Lake’s mission and vision statements and overall communications.
Allen is in attendance at nearly every United Way event and he recently hosted Lunch with a Leader for members of Young Leaders. Further, underAllen’s leadership at Savage, involvement with United Way of Salt Lake has become part of the corporate culture. Employee giving to increased by 91 percent with 100 percent participation. In addition, the organization matches employee gifts 2:1.
Allen’s background, knowledge, and skills are extremely valuable to United Way of Salt Lake’s work. He is extraordinarily generous in his willingness to share his talents. It is with great appreciation that United Way of Salt Lake honors Allen Alexander as the
