Last week Executive Appropriations approved recommendations from each of the Sub-Appropriations Committees. The base budget, which is just the beginning of the debate around the budget, was then passed on Wednesday. While extensive cuts were initially made, the Sub-Appropriations Committees ranked the cuts and are continuing to hear testimony this week on which items should be backfilled when the new revenue estimates are in at the end of February.
