Last month, the same hospital that brought yours truly into this world, wrapped up a campaign to give back to its community. St. Mark’s employees ran an intense campaign during the holiday hoopla that included some interesting special events, like giveaways, a rib-eating contest, and—get this—frozen turkey bowling! While you may think the bowling ball is unusual, I implore you to take a look at the pins. Yes, those are plastic hospital urinals. Resourceful little bunch, aren’t they?
St. Mark’s Hospital has been offering exceptional patient care since 1872, and has been supporting United Way of Salt Lake for years. The hospital matches a portion of all employee pledges—a true sign of support and gratitude to its generous staff. Employees also have the opportunity to give to the St. Mark’s Employee Assistance Fund, as well as other organizations.
