Every year as summer winds down, most kids get excited to go back-to-school shopping, to pick out new folders, pens, crayons and other supplies. Unfortunately, there are many students that don’t have that luxury. Each year United Way of Salt Lake conducts a school supply drive to help alleviate the need. We are encouraging community members to come together and help “Stuff the Bus” by donating school supplies to assist 8,500 low-income students get the tools they need to learn!
School supply drives can be conducted by anyone ranging from large groups to one individual. It’s the perfect opportunity to get your neighbors, friends, co-workers or family involved in a project that makes a meaningful difference.
In previous years, this program serviced 5,000 students. This year we’ve expanded our reach, and need your help to meet the needs of an additional 3,500 students, reaching a total of 8,500 students in total.
Show how you LIVE UNITED and do your part to collect pencils, pens, spiral notebooks, markers, crayons, pocket folders, glue sticks, highlighters and erasers.
