TIP: Itching for a vacation? Spare a budget burden and consider a stay-cation!
Spring is just around the corner and summer is not far off. With warmer weather, longer days, and kids out of school, you might be ready or planning a vacation. Perhaps the term “stay-cation” is over-used, but the message still applies! Taking a vacation closer to home is much cheaper than flying off to an exotic destination, but it doesn’t mean you can’t have a great time!
Utah has lots to offer for local vacationers. National parks, beautiful canyons, and serene lakes are all within driving distance. Museums, theme parks, festivals, and sporting events are also great alternatives to over-night trips.
Take the worry out of how you’re going to pay for your next vacation—stay-cations don’t cost a lot of money and you’ll still enjoy time away from work. But, if you’re still dying for an exotic over-seas trip, the best advice is to save for it. You’ll be much happier in the future remembering your wonderful trip when it’s paid for in advance instead of regretting your frivolous travels each month your credit card payment is due.
