Silvia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and came to the US at the age of 14. This is where she learned the importance not only of learning English, but of having an education as well. As an immigrant who managed to gain an education and go on to success as the Vice President and Latino Banking Manager at Wells Fargo, Silvia has spent a lot of time giving back!
“I have been so fortunate and it was so difficult for my family and me when we first came, that I want to help other immigrants so that they don’t have such a difficult time.” Her main focus is to help other women with job opportunities and advancement, which is a big reason why she joined the Women’s Leadership Council.
Silvia’s successes are inspirational, and a great example of what can happen when young women are empowered to reach their potential through education!
