The Women’s Philanthropic Network (WPN) is a passionate, committed group, and this year’s Women’s Philanthropic Network Member of the Year, Jennifer Smith, defines what WPN is all about. A Senior Vice President with Zions Bancorporation, Jennifer has lent her time and talent to the Women’s Philanthropic Network for the past five years.
The WPN has been a champion in giving a voice to Utah’s diverse and vibrant immigrant and refugee community. Jennifer has provided valuable leadership to this effort as a member of both the Immigrant and Refugee Integration Steering Committee, and the Women’s Philanthropic Network Initiative Committee. Jennifer consistently demonstrates her dedication as a volunteer through her service as a member of the WPN Executive Council and her participation on United Way of Salt Lake’s Welcome Center Review Committee.
Over the past 18 months, she navigated the Women’s Philanthropic Network through a comprehensive strategic planning process. By serving as the chair of this effort, she has once again demonstrated her commitment to United Way of Salt Lake, the Women’s Philanthropic Network, and to the immigrant and refugee community. Through this strategic plan, Jennifer helped the WPN define a vision they can build upon for years to come.
Jennifer inspires others through her participation and dedication to the WPN. United Way of Salt Lake is very pleased to honor Jennifer Smith as the
2011 Women’s Philanthropic Network Member of the Year.
