I recently spent a few days with the great employees of US Magnesium for their annual employee giving campaign. US Magnesium is the largest producer of primary magnesium in North America, operating facilities on the Great Salt Lake where magnesium has been produced since 1972.
Every year, US Magnesium runs a great employee giving campaign, but this year was especially outstanding! The employee campaign manager, Janet Tipton, organized some great events to kick the campaign off on the right foot. We had two BBQs in order to accommodate the various shifts out at the Rowley Plant in Skull Valley. Janet was able to secure some awesome prizes for a raffle which encouraged employees to come to the United Way of Salt Lake informational meetings. In addition, she also organized a lunch presentation for the employees in the Salt Lake office. It was so fun to spend time with the employees at US Magnesium. I was amazed at their generosity and enthusiasm for our work at United Way of Salt Lake. I want to give a special thanks to Janet Tipton who organized a very successful campaign! I also want to thank the cooks at the BBQ who dedicated two whole days to cook hundreds of hamburgers and hot dogs for the employees. They are Mike Robertson, BJ Castagno, Bobby Miller, and Chad Pixton. Thank you to Lisa Lee and Shauna Griffin for your help with everything as well!
Thanks to all of the employees at US Magnesium for learning about our work and being so generous with your time, talents, and resources. That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED!
