YES on SB 165 Economic Mobility Initiative
There is a new second substitute out on SB 165 Economic Mobility Initiative sponsored by Senator Lincoln Fillmore. This bill creates REACH (Raising Expectations through Accountability, Community, and Hope). After not receiving dedicated funding this legislative session, we pivoted strategically to ensure we can still make meaningful progress. The language in this substitute allows us to get the framework established without the grant program. Passing this framework now lays the foundation we need for future implementation and current funding opportunities.
