1. How did you first hear about United Way/United Way of Salt Lake?
At Enterprise, a nation-wide supporter of United Way. I have been involved with the United Way over the past 25 years. I first learned about their work in Salt Lake when I moved here 10 years ago.
2. What motivated you to give and volunteer?
At first, I was motivated through my company and our partnership with the United Way. Once I volunteered to participate in the United Way of Salt Lake’s legislative committee nine years ago, I really began to better understand the strategy and results of the UWSL and wanted to be a bigger supporter of their cause.
3. What aspect of United Way of Salt Lake’s mission have you connected to most and why?
The high-quality pre-school program because the results were so outstanding. The approach is so logical given the results that can be attained, I just want to share this information and support this cause.
4. Why do you believe it is important to support the Salt Lake community?
It is important because it is the community in which we live and so many children and families need the support. In addition, it is so great to see such positive results coming from the UWSL’s programs and it is hard to not want to be a part of their success.
