Virtual iReady Math Tutoring
Location: Virtual, with a few optional in-person sessions.
About: Volunteers will commit from Jan 24th – May 2023 and go through lesson plans with Farnsworth Elementary students via a digital platform.
Days & Times: Volunteer Tuesdays or Wednesdays (or both!) from 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
Commitment: Once a week, 45 minutes
Welcome Baby: Home Visitor
Location: Multiple Locations
About: Welcome Baby is a free home visitation program that promotes healthy, happy, and supportive new beginnings for parents, babies, and their family members. Home visitor volunteers visit at least four families monthly to teach them about their baby’s development.
Days & Times: Choose your own schedule
Commitment: 6 months minimum volunteering at least 4 hours per month.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah
Location: Multiple Locations
About: Big Brothers Big Sisters needs dozens of adults to mentor kids of all ages from the community, providing them with an additional role model.
Days & Times: Choose your own schedule
Commitment: 2-3 times a month for 1 year
Mentoring with Volunteers of America
Location: Multiple Locations
About: Join the Volunteers of America as a mentor for their community-based youth mentoring program to help youth experiencing a variety of risk factors. Mentors and youth do activities such as hiking, visiting museums, learning a new skill together, joining a rec league, etc.
Days & Times: Schedules Vary
Commitment: 1-2 hours a week for 9 months
Women of the World
Location: Multiple Locations
About: Women of the World is looking for volunteers to help their clients integrate into the community by improving their English skills through conversation-based language.
Days & Times: 12:00 -1:30 pm on your choice of Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
Commitment: 1.5 hours/week
