Regional Director, Davis and Tooele County
Davis County is rich with community minded companies both large and small that partner with United Way of Salt Lake and make significant contributions that help improve lives and build stronger communities.
Utility Trailer Company, an industry leader in “new” trailer technology, is the oldest and third largest, semi-trailer manufacturer in the nation and the largest manufacturer of refrigerated vans. They were founded in 1914 in California and now host manufacturing facilities in Virginia, Arkansas, Alabama and Clearfield, Utah. Utility Trailer cares about its employees and the communities in which they operate. They attribute their phenomenal success not only to the quality of their product that is directly related to the excellence of their workforce but also their corporate philosophy of being engaged in the community. They not only support and encourage their employees to invest in United Way, but walk the talk by offering a 110% corporate match on every employee gift. We are extremely grateful to Utility Trailer employees, to plant manager Steve Smith and Joe Maylin who works closely with United Way to help educate employees about how they can Give. Advocate. Volunteer.
United Way of Salt Lake is very fortunate to have such strong and supportive companies and individuals, not only in Davis County, but all our service areas, working together to make our community a better place for everyone.
