Regional Director, Davis and Tooele County
Davis County is rich with community minded companies both large and small that partner with United Way of Salt Lake and make significant contributions that help improve lives and build stronger communities.
First National Bank, headquartered in Layton, Utah was founded in 1905 in response to the need of local residents for a direct, personalized, across the counter relationship with their banker in an era when most people had to bank by mail with distant institutions in larger cities. They were a pioneer in “relationship” banking. “Putting People First” remains the core of their corporate philosophy. This extends not only to their wonderful employees and customers but to their concern for the welfare of the larger community. You will find First National and bank employees in the forefront of virtually every worthy cause in Davis County. First National has long been a corporate leader for United Way in Davis County but now their reach extends deep into Salt Lake County as well as with major branches in downtown Salt Lake and as far south as Draper. After climbing out of a challenging year for all financial institutions, First National has, once again, become a Cornerstone Partner. We are deeply grateful to bank President and CEO John Jones, Bank Board Members Kevin Garn and Haven Barlow, bank employees and, especially, Camille Stevens.
United Way of Salt Lake is very fortunate to have such strong and supportive companies and individuals, not only in Davis County, but all our service areas, working together to make our community a better place for everyone.
