United Way of Salt Lake recently honored our Diamond Donor‘s with the fourth annual Summer Social event held on August 10th at Red Butte Garden. The event was sponsored by Williams-Northwest Pipeline and University of Utah Red Butte Garden and the wonderful food was provided by Utah Food Services.
Diamond Donors are made up of loyal community members who have been donating to United Way of Salt Lake for 20 years or more and exhibit extraordinary dedication to making a difference in our community. This strong base of loyal supporters has enabled us to grow over the past century and continue to create opportunities for a better tomorrow. Being a Diamond Donor represents a substantial commitment to the work United Way is doing and it was wonderful to be able to honor those donors.
United Way of Salt Lake has an approach to community problems called Collective Impact. Collective Impact is about the power of partnership–working together through difference and across community sectors–to solve social problems once and for all. One organization, working by itself, cannot make adequate progress on its own. By working together with community members such as Diamond Donors, in specific neighborhoods and creating new partnerships, we can ensure that not only one child will beat the odds, but we can actually change the odds for an entire neighborhood.
We would like to thank all of our Diamond Donors and sponsors for a wonderful evening!
