United Way of Salt Lake would like to give a huge THANK YOU to the LDS Church and its employees for an amazing partnership. United Way of Salt Lake’s unique approach to community problem solving is called collective impact. Collective impact requires that everyone work together–foundations, businesses, cities, state government, schools, churches, and other nonprofit organizations to tackle our most pressing challenges and take advantage of our biggest opportunities.
The LDS Church helps United Way of Salt Lake advance collective impact work in our community in many ways. From a traditional workplace campaign (where employees can can make an investment in UWSL through their paycheck), to sending hundreds of volunteers on Day of Caring, to sponsoring events, to making significant in-kind donations by providing printing services for the UWSL workplace brochure – their support is wide and their commitment to helping our community is deep.
This year I had the opportunity to help out with their workplace campaign. I want to thank their committee members who spent many hours and brought their personal expertise to the table in order to make the campaign a success.
