Last Thursday, United Way 2-1-1 wrapped up the last Summer of Service volunteer opportunity with a project at Kearns Junior High School. Thirty-six wonderful volunteers came to help organize the home economics room and deliver supplies to classrooms. With the help of all our volunteers we were able to get work done that would have taken the faculty a very long time to complete. The staff at Kearns Junior High was very appreciative of all the hard work the volunteers did to help prepare their school for upcoming classes! Thank you, volunteers!
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Summer of Service volunteer projects this summer! We want to recognize you for your hard work and dedication to changing the odds for kids and families in our neighborhoods and communities.
Please join us for the United Way 2-1-1 Recognition Event on September 19 at Boondocks Fun Center. Volunteers who completed five (bronze), 10 (silver), or 25 (gold) hours of service, and have their service journal submitted by August 30, are invited for food, fun, and prizes!
