On March 19, a group of volunteers from UPS took some time out of their busy schedules to help The Utah Food Bank hand out food to families at Granger Elementary Community School!
Granger Elementary has over 860 students and is the largest elementary school in the Granite School District. Granger serves children K-6, and 79 percent of the students come from low-income families who qualify for free and reduced lunch.
It was a wonderful afternoon filled with hard work and dedication! The volunteers from UPS were there to help from beginning to the end. From setting up the line and breaking down boxes of chicken, to handing out cookies (a crowd favorite) and cleaning up when we were done – UPS employees showed us what it means to LIVE UNITED!
Volunteers were able to hand out enough food for about 240 families!
We are very grateful to the enthusiastic group of volunteers from UPS that worked so hard to help change the odds for kids and families in our community!
