Kohl’s believes that everyone can make a difference. The past few months, the staff at Kohl’s has made an effort to get out in the community and do just that. And what a difference they have made through their volunteer efforts at two United Way of Salt Lake community schools – Granger Elementary and Lincoln Elementary School!
Seven associates from Kohl’s throughout Salt Lake City, Draper, and Riverton generously volunteered their personal time to serve local children and their families by staffing the Mobile Food Pantry at Granger Elementary School. As these volunteers arranged food, stuffed bags, and carried boxes, children and families lined up to receive groceries from Utah Food Bank at Granger Elementary School. The entire project was staffed by associates from Kohl’s stores in Salt Lake County. The outcome was amazing and everyone who participated had a meaningful experience. They showed that collectively, our efforts can make a tremendous impact on kids and families in our community.
One week later, five associates from Kohl’s in Centerville dedicated three hours each to tutor children at Lincoln Elementary School’s after school program. The outcome of their efforts will last a lifetime for the children and families touched by their service.
Thank you to all of the Kohl’s associates who show they care about their community by volunteering their personal time to make our community a better place. Each and every associate who participated truly knows what it means to LIVE UNITED.
