Lincoln Elementary Community School has been busy in preparation for the first day of school. In June, we met up for several days for our first faculty professional development with our new principal and several new teachers. July and August have also had several days of professional development with the staff working to get school-wide behavior plans in place, setting up grade-level data teams, preparing lessons, and reviewing the Common Core. All the hard work has been worth it, though, to see the excitement on students’ faces the first day of school. It is so exciting and inspiring to see all of our teachers and staff so motivated and determined to make a difference for Lincoln students!
I am really looking forward to Lincoln’s Back to School Night. Parents and students will come and visit with their teachers to learn about the upcoming year, the City of South Salt Lake will have exciting activities set up for students, and several of our Promise Partners will be present and ready to talk with families. This will be a great opportunity for families to see what services are available to them and to know that Lincoln Elementary is committed to our community.
We can’t wait to see how all of our partners, parents, staff,
and students LIVE UNITED this year!
