PEGUS Research is determined to make a difference in our community!
On September 11, 2014, PEGUS sent 25 of its employees to help Sugarhouse Boys & Girls club with some landscaping and beautification, as part of United Way of Salt Lake’s annual Day of Caring. The project was a big success and an enormous help to the Boys & Girls club!
But, they were just getting started!
PEGUS continued to support our community the entire year! In the winter, they held a winter clothing drive for students and families in need. All of the items collected were then donated to Guadalupe School. They followed up the clothing drive with a site visit at Guadalupe, to see first-hand where their donations went and what the work of UWSL looks like in action. More importantly, they were able to see the faces of the kids whose lives they were helping to improve.
On March 2, PEGUS capped it all off with their first ever employee giving campaign! They started the campaign by sending more volunteers to James E. Moss Elementary School to participate in UWSL’s annual Dr. Suess Day, to read books with the students and help them with Dr. Suess related activities. They continued by hosting a workplace presentation to educate the staff about the work that United Way of Salt Lake does in our community and find out more about how they can help change the odds for kids and families. PEGUS wrapped up its very successful campaign with a potluck to thank everyone for participating and to celebrate!
Thank you, PEGUS Research, for your commitment to the community and for showing us all how to LIVE UNITED!
