Lincoln hosted its second annual Cultural Night and it was a huge success!
With a student population that speaks around 25 different languages, we have a lot to celebrate when it comes to culture. Students from each grade volunteered to practice for two weeks and perform a dance from a specific culture that is reflected in our community. We had dances from the Middle East, China, Nepal, West Africa, and Mexico. We even had Native American and hip hop dancing to start and end our evening.
It is exciting for students to both learn about other cultures and to see themselves represented in the school. Cultural Night is one of our biggest events for parent engagement, with around 400-500 people attending. It is wonderful to see the pride on the faces of students and parents, and to know that all of us at Lincoln are building a community culture that values and embraces our families.
Thanks to all of the hard work put into the event by Lincoln students and families!
