Hundreds of United Way of Salt Lake’s corporate partners and their guests gathered Tuesday morning to celebrate the change we are making in our community at our annual United for Change event.
During the program, we honored four champions of our work with our 2019 Changemaker Award. Our recipients -- Scott Ulbrich, financial advisor at Baird, Rebecca Chavez-Houck, former member of the Utah House of Representatives, Wasatch Elementary, a UWSL promise partner school in Davis School District, and Comcast, a UWSL corporate partner -- truly live out the mission of United Way in the world that they do.
“By collaborating with United Way and many others to address our community’s toughest issues, these Changemakers have multiplied the effects of positive change and have made Utah a better place to live,” said Bill Crim, president and CEO of United Way of Salt Lake. “We are grateful for their efforts that inspire the Changemaker in everyone.”
If you weren’t able to attend the event, watch the videos below to learn more about how our 2019 Changemakers have helped us ensure that every child has the chance to succeed in school and in life.
