Learn how Utah 211 Connects People
in the Community to the Services they Need

Utah 211 plays an important role in helping Utahns find the support they need by connecting them to services such as health clinics, food pantries, and housing assistance. This 2/11 we’re highlighting 11 key components of the work Utah 211 does.

Eleven Ways Utah 211 Serves the Community

1. Supports economically vulnerable Utahns during the COVID-19 pandemic by connecting them with providers prepared to help with needs exacerbated by the health crisis.

2. Operates 24/7 to make sure health and human services referrals are available when people need them most.

3. Connects people to resources such as rent and utility help, food assistance, income support, and transportation assistance.

4. Serves more than 150,000 Utahns each year.

5. Provides access to nearly 10,000 services across the state.

6. Partners with more than 2,500 service providers to get people the help they need.

7. Offers phone, text, email, website, online chat, and app options for requesting assistance.

8. Addresses root problems and provides follow-up to deliver better long-term assistance.

9. Provides resources for immediate needs to keep people in their homes with basic needs met while longer-term solutions are found.

10. Collects data to inform decision-makers about racial and economic disparities and gaps in services throughout Utah.

11. Provides disaster assistance to other call centers during hurricanes, wildfires, and other natural disasters to help survivors get back to living their lives faster.
