Lincoln Elementary Resource Teacher
The most rapid brain development happens in the first few years of a child’s life and we know that parents are truly the first teachers and biggest asset for early literacy and developmental success. This is why Lincoln Elementary makes early learning a priority for our community!
On March 3, Lincoln Community School opened its doors to young families and community for the first annual Early Childhood Resource Fair and Game Night. With an array of great resources and engaging activities to support children from birth to preschool age, it was a fun and successful evening.
With the support of the United Way of Salt Lake and the Help Me Grow program, many volunteers including Lincoln Elementary teachers, staff, and the preschool team helped welcome families with little ones. While school aged children enjoyed games and events geared towards their age group, including arts and crafts and computer learning, parents were able to play and interact with their youngest children in developmental play centers. Our gym was filled with activities and interactive toys that were specific to each age group’s developmental stages.
This was a very fun event for all who attended and included a raffle and healthy snacks for all! The Early Childhood Resource Fair and Game Night’s mission was centered on supporting the success of future students by partnering with families to highlight, inspire, and encourage early learning. Lincoln Elementary is committed to empowering our community in achieving success!
We hope to repeat this event annually and to continue outreach,
education, and empowerment within our Lincoln Community.
