United Way of Salt Lake has named a new Chair and Vice Chair of its Board of Directors, in addition to welcoming a new board member.
Mikelle Moore, senior vice president and chief community health officer at Intermountain Healthcare, will be UWSL’s new Board Chair and Kirk Aubry, president and CEO of Savage will serve as Vice Chair.
“Both Mikelle and Kirk have been dedicated members of our board for several years now and are truly committed to creating lasting change in our community,” said Bill Crim, president and CEO of UWSL said. “Their expertise, passion, and leadership are exactly what we need to guide our work and continue to make a lasting impact for Utah kids and families, regardless of their race or ZIP code.”
United Way of Salt Lake has also welcomed several new Board members over the past few months, including Deneiva Knight of Comcast, Kevin Peterson of WCF Insurance, Rick Foster of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints, and Gary Porter of Deseret Management Corporation. Michael Anglin of UPS, a longtime Board member with UWSL, also joined the Board’s executive committee.
Board members are nominated for their leadership positions in business, government or community organizations; their dedication to United Way’s mission, goals and objectives; and their expertise and experience. Selected by a nominating committee of current board members, the new members are eligible to serve up to two three-year terms.
United Way of Salt Lake’s Board of Directors guarantees legal, fiduciary and fiscal accountability, and it ensures the organization functions by its own bylaws and policies and within state and federal law.
