Christina-Mai Just

Chief Equity Officer

Christina-Mai recently joined United Way of Salt Lake because she believes in a world where race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, faith, and economic circumstance are no longer barriers for all Utahns. A passionate collaborator, Christina-Mai thrives when bringing people and ideas together around shared goals.

Most recently, she spent eight years at the University of Utah working in a variety of roles focused on reimagining a more equitable distribution of scholarship funding, supporting mentorship opportunities for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and first-generation students, and increasing access to oral healthcare for communities across the state. Christina-Mai worked to build campus and community partnerships and develop programs focused on equity education, awareness, and inclusion.

Christina-Mai holds a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology and international studies from Connecticut College and a master’s degree in public policy from Northwestern University. She has lived in the Eastern, Central, Pacific, and Hawaii time zones, but has found home in the Mountain time zone and Salt Lake City. Outside of work, Christina-Mai loves to listen to public radio, watch baseball, hike, bike, ski, travel, and explore new foods with her husband and their three active children.
