Earn a $150 Gift Card for Completing a "Day of Volunteering"
Summer programs help kids maintain and build on what they learned so they can start the next school year confident and ready to pick up where they left off.
To help support these important initiatives, United Way of Salt Lake is piloting an incentive program that rewards volunteers. Those who complete a “Day of Volunteering” (a full 24 hours, non-consecutive) in United Way of Salt Lake-supported tutoring programs between June 1 and July 31, 2022, will receive a $150 digital gift card.
How It Works
STEP 1
Find a Volunteer Opportunity
Volunteer opportunities change regularly – check them out and sign up at volunteer.uw.org.
STEP 2
Attend the Orientation/Training
Our volunteer team will reach out with information about an orientation specific to your volunteer opportunity.
STEP 3
Volunteer
Show up to volunteer! The teachers and students will be excited to see you.
STEP 4
Submit Your Hours
1. Log in to your Golden Volunteer profile on the website or on the Golden app
2. On the website: Click your name and then "My Opportunities"
On the app: Click the "Activity" icon
3. Click "Log Time" and input your hours
STEP 5
Claim Your Gift Card
An email will be sent after July 31st to eligible volunteers with details about claiming their gift certificate. Volunteers can choose from digital gift cards to a wide variety of retailers.
