Salt Lake City — United Way of Salt Lake and Salt Lake Community College present the Building Equitable Communities Speaker Series, focused on building understanding, building bridges, and building commitment to action for addressing persistent inequalities in our communities.

Join us on August 11, 2021 for an important conversation with systems change leader Hugh Vasquez. The event will be held live at the Salt Lake Community College Grand Theatre on the South City Campus as well as livestreamed for those who prefer to watch remotely. Vasquez will discuss “transformative leadership for equity” and share his ideas for working together in challenging systems of exclusion, marginalization, and oppression.

United Way of Salt Lake’s president and CEO Bill Crim will facilitate a discussion and community Q&A with Vasquez about his work related to equity and inequality.
