Engage volunteers to create meaningful, lasting change across the Wasatch Front

Our Volunteer Engagement Philosophy

United Way of Salt Lake provides meaningful opportunities for volunteers in schools, and with our civic partnerships and networks, to advance our mission of lasting social change.

We focus on activating community and corporate volunteers to fill existing impact-driven, aligned needs identified through these partnerships that support students and families.

Our team is committed to doing our best to fill all the requests that come in, but volunteers or in-kind donations are not guaranteed. We encourage partners to use us as one avenue for filling your needs in conjunction with other outreach.

How We Partner

United Way of Salt Lake Volunteer Engagement Team can provide backbone and technical support to our partners around volunteer events and in-kind donations. We partner with schools and organizations working to support educational outcomes for students in the Canyons, Davis, Granite, Ogden, Park City, Salt Lake County School Districts.

Request volunteers for ongoing projects, such as tutoring in classrooms, mentoring, and afterschool activities, or one-time events, such as school beautification projects, health clinics, and art nights. Or, request in-kind donations, such as hygiene kits, snack kits, books, and other needs.

Below are the roles both your team and our team play to create a successful event together. However, if you need assistance in other ways, our team is welcome to new ideas.
